Senior Cognitive Training Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 22, 2026

Senior Cognitive Training is a cognitive-activity tool that a caregiver (social worker, care worker, or family member) runs together with an older adult (coloring, spot-the-difference, learning Hangul). The app operates no server; all data, including elder profiles and activity records, is stored only in the device's local storage and is never transmitted externally. Hasegi Inc. manages information securely in compliance with applicable laws. This app is not a medical device, and activity records are not a medical diagnosis or assessment.

1. Purposes of Processing

  1. Providing the cognitive-activity tool — managing elder profiles (name, etc.) so a caregiver can run 1:1 or across multiple devices; storing each elder's progress, difficulty level, and activity participation records (date, activity, time, result); storing settings (text size, voice speed, mode).
  2. Advertising & operation (free Personal mode only) — ads via Google AdMob: banner, native, interstitial (on returning to the caregiver screen), and app-open (no ads on the elder's activity screens); managing iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent.
  3. App sharing — when the caregiver taps Share, the OS share sheet sends an app description and store link to other apps. The sharing action is not stored or analyzed.

2. Information Collected & Methods

1) Entered by the caregiver and stored on the device

Senior Cognitive Training has no sign-up or login. To distinguish elders, the caregiver may enter the following, stored only in the device's local database (sqflite) and never sent to any server:

The current version does not collect elder photos; the profile avatar is shown automatically using the first letter of the name and a color.

Caregiver (institution/family) responsibility: An elder's name is third-party information entered by the caregiver. The caregiver must obtain consent from the elder (or guardian) before entering it. The information is kept only on that device; in institutional use, manage devices appropriately (e.g., device lock) against loss or shared use.

2) App settings (stored on device)

3) Automatically collected (third-party SDK, free Personal mode)

In free Personal mode, the included Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) may automatically collect, to serve ads:

This is processed under Google's privacy policy and may be sent to overseas servers (e.g., the US). See policies.google.com/privacy.

iOS users: On iOS 14+, Apple's ATT prompt appears once on first launch. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used for personalized ads only if you allow tracking; if you decline, all features work normally and non-personalized ads are shown.

4) About ads

5) In-app purchases (subscription)

Institution features are available via an in-app subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment, renewal, and refunds are handled by the respective store; we do not collect or store your payment card details. Subscription status (active, expired, etc.) is stored on the device for purchase restoration and managed through your store account. The offline license key for institutions that need a tax invoice is verified on-device only and is not transmitted.

3. Retention

Deleting an elder's card in the app removes that elder's info and records from the device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data, unrecoverably.

4. Provision to Third Parties

Senior Cognitive Training does not provide elder/caregiver information to third parties, except with prior consent or under a lawful request by authorities.

5. Outsourcing / Third-Party SDKs

Senior Cognitive Training runs no server and does not outsource processing. It includes:

6. App Permissions

Senior Cognitive Training requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, files, or notification permissions.

7. Your Rights

  4. Uninstall to remove all local data at once.

8. Destruction

Deleting an elder's card or uninstalling the app permanently removes the data from the device. As Senior Cognitive Training runs no server, no personal data is stored on any server.

9. Security Measures

10. Protection of Elders/Children

Senior Cognitive Training is a tool a caregiver uses with an older adult. Elders do not enter identifiers themselves; names are entered by the caregiver with consent. Information of children under 14 is not collected; guardian supervision is recommended for home use.
