Yeogi-Apa Privacy Policy

"Yeogi-Apa" (the "App") respects the privacy of its users and complies with applicable laws. This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, how it is retained or deleted, and your rights as a user.

Summary

This App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal health information or personally identifiable information to any server.
All records entered by the user — including symptom diary, search history, and bookmarks — are stored only on the user's device.
Nothing is uploaded to an external server, and the developer has no access to any of it.

1. Information Handled

(1) Information you enter (stored on your device only)

Symptom diary entries — health-related information that may qualify as sensitive information under Article 23 of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Search terms and search history
Bookmarks and recently viewed items
In-app settings (theme, gender, font size, category mode, consent status)

All of the above is stored only inside your device's local storage (SharedPreferences). It is never transmitted to the developer's servers or to any third party, and is removed when you uninstall the App.

(2) Information accessed via permissions

Location (optional): used only at the moment you look up nearby hospitals, pharmacies, or emergency rooms on a map. The App does not store or transmit your location.

(3) Advertising-related information

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Under Google's privacy policy, AdMob may collect the following information:

Advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA)
IP address, device model / OS version, app version, language and country settings
Ad impression and click event information

iOS users: IDFA is used for personalized ads only if you allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown and all App features remain available.

International transfer: The advertising-related information above may be transmitted to and processed on servers operated by Google LLC (including in the United States) for ad delivery. Details are described in Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

2. Purposes

Providing general health information (conditions by body area, symptom check)
Preserving user settings and convenience features (diary, bookmarks)
Linking to maps for emergency and medical facilities
Supporting the App through advertising

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Retention and Deletion

User-entered data (diary, search, bookmarks, etc.) is stored only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.
Because the App does not store user data on any server, no separate deletion process is required.

5. Your Rights

You may delete your records (diary, search history, bookmarks, etc.) at any time from within the App settings.
Location and ATT permissions can be changed at any time in your device settings.
Uninstalling the App removes all data stored on your device.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14.

7. Medical Disclaimer

This App is not a medical device. Information provided by this App is general health information and does not replace professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescription. If you have symptoms or health concerns, consult a qualified medical professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 119 in Korea) or visit the nearest emergency room.

8. Changes to this Policy

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes. Updates will be announced through the App or this page.
