Yeogi-Apa Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of "Yeogi-Apa" (the "App") and your rights, obligations, and responsibilities as a user. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
- General information on diseases and symptoms by body area
- Symptom check that suggests possible conditions
- Health diary, bookmarks, and search (stored on-device; not transmitted externally)
- Emergency contacts and maps linking
- Advertising (supports the App)
2. User Obligations
- You must comply with these Terms and applicable laws.
- You should treat the information provided by the App as reference only, not as a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
- You must not use the App for malicious purposes (hacking, reverse engineering, unauthorized redistribution, etc.).
3. Medical Disclaimer
This App is not a medical device under the Korean Medical Devices Act; it is not designed to diagnose, treat, mitigate, or prevent any disease.
All information provided by this App is general health information and does not replace professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescription.
- Individual conditions vary. Do not attempt self-diagnosis or self-treatment based solely on this App.
- If you suspect a health issue or your symptoms persist or worsen, consult a qualified medical professional.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 119 in Korea) or visit the nearest emergency room.
- The developer is not liable for any direct or indirect consequences arising from use of the App's information.
4. Medical Facility Finder & Emergency Features
- The "nearby search" feature on the Emergency / Hospitals screen (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, ERs, oriental-medicine clinics, dental clinics, long-term-care hospitals, etc.) is based on Google Maps search. The App does not recommend, endorse, or affiliate with any specific medical institution and is not responsible for the accuracy or timeliness of any listing, location, or operational information shown.
- Users are responsible for verifying, prior to visiting, each institution's hours of operation, availability, department scope, emergency capability, and capacity. The developer is not liable for any difference, delay, refusal, or damage arising from such information.
- In an emergency, do not rely on the App's guidance; contact 119 (emergency) or 1339 (medical information center) immediately.
- The "call 119 / 1339" feature merely launches your device's phone app; call quality, connectivity, and timing depend on your carrier, device, and location.
- If you grant location permission for nearby search, your current coordinates (GPS) may be transmitted to Google LLC's map services. Such processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.
5. Intellectual Property
- All works included in the App (text, images, UI design, code, etc.) belong to the developer.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
6. Service Changes and Termination
- The developer may change or discontinue all or part of the App without prior notice for quality or operational reasons.
- The developer is not liable for any damages arising from service interruption.
7. Advertising
- The App displays ads through Google AdMob.
- Advertisers are independent third parties; the developer is not responsible for ad content or any transactions between users and advertisers.
- iOS users may choose personalized ads via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
8. User Data
- Diary entries, search history, bookmarks, and settings entered by the user are stored only on the user's device and are not transmitted to any server.
- The developer does not collect or store user data and is not responsible for data loss or leakage (see Privacy Policy).
9. Limitation of Liability
- The developer is not liable for service failures caused by force majeure (natural disasters, network outages, device issues, etc.).
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer limits liability for errors or omissions in information and for damages caused by user negligence.
10. Changes to the Terms
- These Terms may be updated to reflect legal or service changes; updates will be announced through the App or a notice page.
- If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the App and uninstall it.
11. Minors
- This App is not recommended for children under 14. In accordance with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act, the App does not collect personal information from children under 14 without the consent of their legal guardian.
- Minors should review any health-related information only together with a legal guardian or a qualified medical professional.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the court with jurisdiction over the developer's address as the court of first instance.
